Septicflesh

From Greece with Groove: A Septicflesh Ritual

All the way from Greece, Septicflesh unleashed a powerful and atmospheric live show that was as theatrical as it was thunderous. Their unique fusion of symphonic arrangements, ancient myth-inspired storytelling, and relentless Death Metal created a truly immersive experience on stage.

This time, I had the pleasure of filming the entire show, with a special focus on the phenomenal Kerim Lechner behind the kit. The final reel turned out quite well—I feel it reflects the band’s intensity and stage presence in an honest and dynamic way. Some of the stills I captured also managed to freeze a bit of that magic, especially in moments where the lighting and motion aligned just right.

What I truly enjoy about Septicflesh is how seamlessly they blend orchestral grandeur with raw, heavy grooves. Their performance had both precision and chaos in all the right doses, making it an absolute joy to document.

Looking forward to the next opportunity to get the gear rolling again and dive back into their cinematic world of sound and shadow.
